There are many neurological impairments that can affect vision and a patient's eye function.
For example, people can develop vision problems following a stroke or if they have another neurological disease, such as Multiple Sclerosis.
Orthoptists are important members of the multidisciplinary team that looks after such patients. As an Orthoptist you could provide your expertise in diagnosis and in the treatment of such things as double vision and peripheral visual field defects that may affect people who suffer such neurological conditions.
